School Trips to Madagascar

Located in the Indian Ocean off the coast of East Africa, Madagascar is one of the most exotic destinations on the continent.

In many ways its lack of accessibility is what makes the island so special, and this isolation has been a feature throughout the centuries, dating back to when European pirates made their hideouts on its northern coast.

The country is home to a number of unusual species largely unique to its shores including the incredible ‘upside down’ Baobab tree and the curious looking Lemur for which it is rightly famous. Much of the country is also swathed in sub-tropical forests which contain a wealth of flora and fauna.

The north and west coasts are fringed by white sandy beaches with turquoise tropical waters and offer relaxation as well as snorkelling, scuba and swimming.
