School Trips to Morocco

Morocco is a truly exotic destination yet is located little more than 3 hours flying time away from the UK.

This friendly North African country is part of the wider Arab Magreb but has a distinctly French feel to it, a legacy of the years of colonial rule.

Marrakech is well known as a tourist destination, and the colourful, vibrant souks and lively central square of Djema al Fna overwhelm the senses with their smells, sights, music, food and street entertainers.  But Morocco has many other fascinating cities worth exploring,  including Fez, Casablanca and Meknes where the modern world and centuries of tradition sit side by side. The Atlas Mountains run from west to east across the central part of the country and provide many excellent mountain treks, including Toubkal – at 4067 metres the highest mountain in Morocco and North Africa.

In the south lie the spectacular deserts with their vast, shifting dunes stretching away into the northern Sahara.  Camel trekking is a great way to explore, allowing us to visit some of the wildest parts of the desert and enjoy nights spent at remote Berber camps sleeping out under the stars.
