India Trips

India excites and stimulates the senses with its sights and smells, its vivid colours and vibrancy.

Its northern cities including Agra and Jaipur contain truly exquisite Moghul architecture whilst Delhi provides complementary colonial grandeur. To travel across the vast deserts of Rajasthan to the annual camel fair at Jaisalmer is a journey never to be forgotten.

In the north of the country rise the majestic mountains of the Himalaya, with scenery of the utmost diversity. In eastern  Kashmir lie Ladakh and Zanskar, often referred to as ‘Little Tibet’ because of their similarly austere landscape and Buddhist culture.  In the Garhwal region, luxuriant green and fertile foothills are dwarfed by snow capped peaks soaring above the valleys.

Further east, Darjeeling welcomes visitors on its famous narrow gauge ‘toy train’. In the far East, the states of Assam, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh are home to a fascinating mixture of indigenous hill tribes.

The south of India is the perfect destination for soft adventure.  Easy treks in the Western Ghats of Kerala can be combined with bicycle touring and the beaches of Kovalam.

India offers such a wide variety there is something for everyone.
