Highlights of New York

Our trips to the Big Apple feature all the famous landmarks you students hope to see, including the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and Brooklyn Bridge.

Any trip can be adapted to suit your curriculum requirements including art, history and business studies.  Alternatively, if you just want an adventure exploring the city that never sleeps, you’ve found it!

  • Day 1

    Fly to New York

    Today you fly to New York, arriving later then same day or evening. Once at your hotel, there may be time for an evening trip to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Plaza to see the amazing night time view of Manhattan from the 70th floor.

  • Day 2

    Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

    This morning you take the ferry from Battery Park across to Ellis Island which until the 1950's was the place were all immigrants to the US were processed. We continue to Liberty Island were we can see the Statue of Liberty up close and perhaps ascend to the Crown. In the afternoon you can visit Wall Street and see the New York Stock Exchange with the famous charging bull bronze statue. Continuing by foot you can visit the Ground Zero memorial. Alternatively you can take the East River ferry from pier 11 to see the classic view of Brooklyn Bridge and a stunning panorama of the Manhattan skyline.

  • Day 3

    Empire State Building

    This morning you can ride the elevator to the top of the iconic Empire State Building. Following this, continue your exploration of Midtown including Broadway and Times Square, while in the evening a Broadway Show can be arranged.

  • Day 4

    Broadway and Times Square

    Today you could visit one of New York's many museums or art galleries such as the Guggenheim or the Natural History Museum. After lunch there will be time to explore Central Park before transferring to the airport for your homeward flight

  • Day 5

    Arrive back home

    Your flight arrives back home this morning.

    The Excelsior is a good, solid 3 star hotel located on the Upper West Side on leafy west 81st street within a short stroll of Central Park and the Natural History Museum, while the nearby subway station gives easy access to Midtown and Downtown sights.
