  • Day 1

    Fly to New York - Top of the Rock

    Today you depart on your flight to New York. Om arrival you will be met by your private transport and transfer into the heart of Manhattan and your central accommodation. Once you have settled into your hotel you will have some free time before dinner this evening in a local restaurant. After dinner you ride the elevator to the observation deck in the Rockefeller Centre. The Observation Deck wraps around the building, providing 360-degree views of New York and beyond. From up here you’ll get unique views of Central Park, the Hudson River and East River and the Brooklyn Bridge, Back at street level you can head to Times Square, the heart of New York’s entertainment district.

  • Day 2

    Museum of Modern Art and Statue of Liberty

    This morning you visit the Museum of Modern Art, often identified as the most influential museum of modern art in the world, also one of the largest. The collection offers an overview of modern and contemporary art, and the museum has been important in developing and collecting modernist art. In the afternoon you travel to Lower Manhattan where you take the ferry to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. You will have access to the base of the Statue of Liberty where you can explore the Museum. You then continue to Ellis Island where you will visit the Immigration Museum which records the important role this island had in the processing of most of the immigrants to the USA during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

  • Day 3

    Guggenheim & Whitney Museum of American Art

    This morning you visit the Guggenheim Museum.

    You can stop for lunch in the Chelsea area, visiting the local food market or the coffee shops which line the streets. This afternoon you will visit the Whitney Museum of American Art, informally known as the ‘Whitney’. Focusing on 20th and 21st century American Art, its permanent collection comprises more than 21,000 painting, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, films, videos and artefacts of new media by more than 3,000 artists. Here you will have time for sketching.
