National Parks of the West

We explore the glitzy Las Vegas Strip and drive past the Hoover Dam before exploring the National Parks of Zion and Bryce. We also visit Glen Canyon and Lake Powell before finishing at the spectacular Grand Canyon.

  • Day 1

    Fly from the UK to Las Vegas

    Today you will depart on your flight to Las Vegas arriving later this afternoon. Upon arrival you will be welcomed by your tour guide and transfer to your hotel. This unique city is located in the middle of the desert and is renowned for its gambling and glitzy entertainment.

  • Day 2

    Las Vegas to Zion

    In the morning you will see some of the glitz of the Vegas Strip You also see the dancing fountains outside the Bellagio Hotel. After lunch you travel to Zion National Park where you can follow the paths where ancient native people and pioneers once walked.

  • Day 3

    Zion National Park

    Today you will enjoy a full day in the Zion National Park with your guide. One of the best ways to explore the park is on foot with your guide following one of the many trails in the national park, where you can gaze up at the massive sandstone cliffs of cream, pink and red that soar into the sky.

  • Day 4

    Zion to Bryce Canyon

    Today will begin with a drive from Zion to Bryce Canyon National Park. There is no place like Bryce Canyon. The park has gone through 140 million years of geological processes - here is the largest collection of Hoodoos in the World. Stunning bright red, yellow and orange pinnacles results in the very surreal and quite magical landscape of the canyon.

  • Day 5

    Glen Canyon & Lake Powell

    In Glen Canyon your first stop will be at Lake Powell, set dramatically against a backdrop of eroded red rock canyons and mesas. You will enjoy a guided tour of the Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River. The afternoon continues to the view point of Horseshoe Bend, a fascinating and unique geological phenomenon where the Colorado River meanders into this spectacular horseshoe shape. After a busy day you will continue to your overnight accommodation this evening in the town of Page.

  • Day 6

    Grand Canyon

    Today you enjoy a full day exploring the Grand Canyon with your guide. The steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River is over 270 miles long and up to 18 miles wide. The size and sheer scale of the canyon is quite breath-taking, as is its beauty and tranquillity. Your guide will take you through a colourful history of geology, plant life and human history and will also introduce you to some of the Canyon’s wildlife which is commonly seen in this area.

  • Day 7

    Monument Valley

    Today is a full day driving through the spectacular Monument Valley whose scenery is so typical of the West, with mesas and desert, home to unique sandstone formations, the Navajo Indian Nation, and the Four Corners Monument.

  • Day 8

    Return to Las Vegas

    Today you will journey back to Las Vegas. Along the route you stop to see the Hoover Dam, built in the 1930’s during the Great Depression as part of Roosevelt’s New Deal programme. You continue to the airport where your rewarding and enjoyable tour comes to an end, with your return overnight flight back to the UK.

  • Day 9

    Arrive Back Home

    Your flight arrives back home today.

  • Circus Circus

    Iconic casino hotel in the heart of the Strip

    Since opening in 1968, Circus Circus has appeared on screen in many films. It was a backdrop to the foreign intrigue in the James Bond thriller Diamonds Are Forever, and was also a setting for Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. The hotel is a family favourite with entertainment and a good location at the north end of the Strip.
