Geography Trips

Nothing enhances your students’ understanding of Geography more than an overseas educational trip where they can discover at first hand the various geological processes that have formed our planet, and the human factors which continue to shape it.

We specialise in geography trips to countries including Iceland, Morocco, Switzerland and the Azores. Of these, Iceland is perhaps the best destination if your focus is on physical geography. Geothermal activity, volcanism, plate tectonics and glaciation are all dramatically represented in a fairly compact region in the south-west of the country.

If you want to explore the desert environment there is nowhere better than Morocco, whose mighty sand dunes lie on the edge of the vast Sahara. The villages of the High Atlas also provide a fascinating insight into how traditional Berber communities live, and how tourism is rapidly changing their lives.

Switzerland offers a spectacular opportunity to discover its glaciers, and in particular to witness how they have receded over the past century. We can also visit hydro-electric projects and see how low carbon energy is produced.

The Azores is a unique destination, being a remote volcanic archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean. Somewhat difficult of access, the Azores nevertheless surprises all who visit with the warmth of the welcome and the diversity of scenery.
